Train karate.

Add target practice to your karate training at home. Adjustable pads let you work on familiar punches and kicks at a height and distance that suit you.

Why BAS

Make room for practice at home.

The BAS System provides contact targets for techniques you learn in class. Use it to practice accuracy and distance alongside your regular forms and partner work.

The X2 offers four focus pads, plus head and torso targets. Ask your instructor which techniques and pad positions are suitable for your practice.

Karate practice at home.

Three ways to use the BAS System in your home routine.

  • Straight-punch accuracy

Use a padded target to practice a straight punch taught in class. Focus on your chosen target and a controlled return.

  • Kicks at a comfortable height

Adjust a suitable pad for a kick you already know. Keep the target within your comfortable range and leave room around the base.

  • Practice between classes

Bring selected techniques from your lessons into short target sessions. Forms, applications, and partner practice still need appropriate instruction.

These are training ideas, not step-by-step technique lessons. Learn unfamiliar techniques with a qualified instructor, follow the setup manual, and strike only the padded targets.

Karate FAQ.

  • Why is X2 recommended for karate?

Use the BAS System for selected target techniques from your lessons. It does not replace forms practice or partner applications; ask your instructor which techniques are appropriate for a fixed padded target.

  • Can I use BAS for kata practice?

Use it after kata or alongside bunkai-style target work. Run the form, choose the application, then hit the target at the right height and angle.

  • Can kids use it?

Follow the product's age and setup guidance. Younger users need adult supervision and suitable instruction. Contact us if you need help choosing an appropriate setup.

  • Does it replace a dojo?

No. It is a home target system for reps between classes, not a replacement for instruction, partners, or grading work.

  • How much room do I need?

Allow space for the assembled BAS System plus clear room to step, turn, and fully extend your strikes without contacting the frame, furniture, walls, or other people. Check the setup manual and measure your training area before ordering.
